The Cedars

Accommodation along FreeRein trails is generally in islolated hill farms or small hamlets - with the exception of the Royal Oak in Kington and the Cedars Guest House in the busy little town of Builth Wells. The Cedars is almost opposite the farm where the horses stay for the night and about 5 minutes walk from the main street.

It is a licensed guest house and riders can either eat here or choose a restaurant / bar in Builth with the option to take a pleasant riverside walk along the tree lined grassy banks of the Wye.

Builth is best known as the host town for the annual Royal Welsh Show but there are events on at the Showground throughout the year and early booking or booking during the week is advised for those wishing to do one of the Wye Valley trails which stop here overnight.
