In times long gone herds of Welsh Black cattle would have been a familiar sight passing the Fforest Inn with their drovers on the way to the English markets. Today the Welsh Black is still much in evidence here - in the form of tasty steaks as part of an interesting and varied restaurant menu catering equally for vegetarians and carnivores (omnivores?).
Since Robert and Wendy took the Inn over, three years ago, it has undergone extensive renovation and guests are offered comfortable en suite rooms, residents lounge and refurbished bar with wood burning stove.
All riders arriving here will be warmly welcomed - and for the horses there will often be a box of carrots as well as the adjoining grassy fields.
