Llanerchcoedlan Farm

Spring Lambs

Llanerchcoedlan Farm

The Victorians made spas and “taking the waters” fashionable and many places, unheard of now, were quite famous. One of these is Llanerchcoedlan Wells. Vicky, your hostess here, has continuously upgraded this ancient charactersome building so that riders are now offered en suite facilities. When the first FreeRein riders set out in the Autumn of 1989 there were three trails, one of which came across the Wye Valley to Vicky.

In keeping with all the FreeRein hill farm accommodations, the standard of home cooked food is high and the welcome is warm and genuine. Venture down below the house to look at the delapidated remains of the old Bath House where people bathed and drank the sulphur waters.

The Victorians somehow managed to make it fashionable to drink these unpleasant tasting waters in the belief that they were health giving. Ask Vicky if you would like to try a glass.
