Highland cattle
New House Farm
New House Farm has one of the biggest folds of Highland cattle in Wales. They are long haired, long horned and quite small - just a handy eating size and, fed on grass, very tasty. The writer is presently about halfway through one. Non-vegatarian riders staying here may find part of a hairy highland on the menu together with other produce produced on the farm, in the poly tunnels and in the orchard.
John and Sue describe their accommodation and style as “Ferme Auberge”. Riders like it here with their amiable horse riding and hunting hosts. Meals are taken in the recently constructed south facing sun lounge in a relaxed and laid back atmosphere. The twin bedded rooms have been tastefully modernised.
