The Black Lion
Or as the locals would say “Gwesty’r Llew Du”. Gwesty’r meaning hotel, Llew being a lion and Du being Black. You are now in the county of Ceredigion where Welsh is the spoken language used in shops, offices and pubs - but everyone also speaks English, as do your hosts Paul and Christine Vass, so no need to pack a phrase book. You are now in a sizeable village stretching along the main road from Aberystwyth to Machynlleth and next door to another hotel the White Lion.
You will enjoy a relaxing stay here followed by a gentle ride along quiet lanes to the coast, then - tide permitting - a three mile ride along the sands to Ynyslas - and it’s all aboard the equibus for the journey back to FreeRein HQ.
