Introduction

Everything is as straight forward to use as possible. Horses work in simple snaffle bits and do not need martingales. Saddles are comfortable and of the endurance type with ties to carry clothing and saddle bags for cameras, lunches etc..

Numnahs & Saddle Bags

Clean numnahs are provided for each trail & changed on the longer trails. Riders taking their own baggage (i.e. Trans Cambrian, Ithon & Teme Valley trails & Pack Pony Camping Trails) use expedition saddle bags with secondary girths to prevent bag flap at the trot and canter.

Those setting out on camp trails supported with pack horses will be offered full instruction in the use, loading and care of pack ponies on trail.
