The Ultimate trail ride

The ultimate FreeRein adventure. 12 Days. 200 miles. This new route takes in the whole of Mid Wales from the border near Hay-on-Wye to Ynyslas Beach and back again!. The route was officially opened by Bill & Deb Jackson, the first customers to take on this new trail.

Route

This trail follows the Trans Cambrian North route out and the Trans Cambrian South back. Its a stunning ride, the culmination of many years researching the old bridleways and green lanes of mid Wales and beyond.

Unguided for previous customers

The unguided FreeRein Trans Cambrians, either South or North or There and Back Again, are for riders who have already done one or more FreeRein unguided trails. They are for the resourceful rider with a true sense of independence. The maps are detailed but the route descriptions for these longer trails are not as detailed as for those in the Radnor Hills returning to FreeRein HQ. There are 9 overnight inn stops along the trail with 11 days riding & route finding (one rest day). Each day is 15+ miles with total climbs & descents of 30,000 ft.
