The Melan Trail - 2 days
Starting from Pendre Barns, Painscastle there is a large choice of routes on the Melan Trail. From a 12 mile jaunt over the expanse of hills to Llanfihangle-Nant-Melan to 20 miles via a country Inn for lunch. The first part of these routes travel high above Painscastle past the Island before heading off on your chosen trail.
Lunchstops
You have the choice of going to The Royal Oak or the Hundred House Inn for lunch. Then over the mysterious Black Yat before dropping down in to the valley to stay the night at either the Red Lion or the Fforest Inn.
Return
Again a good choice of routes either returning to Pendre Barns or a good long days ride back to FreeRein HQ. Choice of return routes with option to finish at Pendre Barns Painscastle.
