Map & Route Manager

Part Time Hourly £11.50 ph
Ready Route Expert
Approx 15hrs pw, days flexible
Start 15th April 2019

The primary role in this position is to compile customer route packs using our specially designed system. In addition to this you will be surveying new routes, writing route descriptions from scratch and placing trails on maps. You would also liaise with ROW stakeholders as well as developing and maintaining new customers for this rapidly expanding recreation sector. You would have the possibility to undertake some tasks remotely rather than at our offices.

Responsibilities
- Compiling customer route packs.
- Managing changes and new routes.
- Liaise with other organisations - ROW departments, Forestry commission, landowners etc .
- Recording rights of way.
- Marketing for new business in this expanding sector.

Requirements
- Keen walker and outdoors person.
- A deep love and understanding of 1:25000 OS Maps.
- Exceptional spatial awareness.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Working knowledge of word, excel and photoshop.
- Own laptop.
- Full UK driving license & your own vehicle.
- Education at least to A-Level or equivilent.

Need to be a friendly, self-starting, calm and positive person who works well on their own.

As the UK's leading trail riding centre, Freerein Riding Holidays specializes in multi-day self-guided and guided holidays, maintains a herd of 40 exceptional trail horses and looks after over 1000 guests per year. You would be joining our young friendly crew of eight people. There is no requirement for this role that you have any horse knowledge or riding ability.

Terms
Initial 25 week contract 15th April - 7th October 2019
Start date: 15th April 2019
2 week trail period
Approx 15hrs per week with opportunity to increase as business grows.
Office Grade 2
£11-50 ph
