The UK’s longest unguided trail riding holiday is to be officially launched today by FreeRein.

“The UKs Longest unguided Trail Ride” – 200 miles in 12 days – is being officially launched by Bill & Deb Jackson, two longstanding FreeRein customers and the first to take on the new route.

The new trail means that people with sound horse riding skills can explore some of the most beautiful and remote parts of the country on horseback without the need for guides or escorts.

FreeRein Director Matt Williams said:
“This is the culmination of many years exploring the mountains to find the best route for our customers. Its an amazing route taking in the finest riding terrain that this country has to offer.”

Bill Jackson said: “It was an incredible experience and the horses were fantastic”

The new route covers Mid Wales from the border near Hay-on-Wye to Ynyslas Beach near Aberystwyth and then back to Hay. Accommodation is at inns and there is a rest day for horses and riders at the half way point.

FreeRein have been offering unguided horse riding holidays since 1989. Holidays are individually arranged and include horse hire, detailed routes, all arrangements and full back-up. For more information visit www.www.free-rein.co.uk
