This character cottage is in the small riverside village of Glasbury-on-Wye, just 4 miles upstream from the book town of Hay-on-Wye. Glasbury-on-Wye is on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, ideally situated to explore the gloriously unspoilt moorlands and valleys of Mid Wales.

The cottage is in a lovely sunny position with views of the Black Mountains and glimpses of Pen-y-fan (the highest point in the Brecon Beacons). It has a conservatory and large sunny garden with outside seating, or just a 2-minutes walk away is the river, where you can chill out on the shingle beach after a day out in in the hills.

This is a vegetarian household and breakfasts includes a buffet selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurt followed by cooked options including a cooked meat-free breakfast, boiled or scrambled eggs from local free range hens or porridge with fruit and maple syrup. This is rounded off with home baked wholemeal toast with Nicky’s home made jams and local honey.  Your hosts are also very happy to cater for vegan or gluten free diets.

For your evening meal, you can wonder down the road to Foyles bar and restaurant.  Your horses will be happy munching in the paddock just a short walk away.
