The Llanelwedd Arms Hotel was built in the 17th Century and is full of character with its uneven walls, wood beams and traditional Welsh craftsmanship. Here you experience a warm and friendly welcome from Kath, Eileen and staff who will make your stay pleasant and comfortable. The hotel offers an excellent choice of food, and their traditional Welsh Breakfast menu is hearty and enjoyable.
Situated in the heart of Wales, Builth Wells gives the visitor a glimpse into what life is like in a small town in Wales. It offers a unique experience for riders as they can pick and choose from a variety of restaurants and pubs and perhaps even go see a film at the cinema which is one of the only licensed cinemas in the country!
Riding on horseback into Builth Wells is rather a different experience and makes you hark back to a time long gone. Traversing the beautiful stone bridge spanning the River Wye gives riders and horses the best view of the river before heading onto Aberedw hill with its stunning vistas of the valley below.
Please note that there are often large events on at the nearby Royal Welsh Showground which means that staying overnight at the Llanelwedd and Builth Wells is often not possible over a weekend.
