How to Book & Other Frequently Asked Questions

Ready to embark on an unforgettable adventure on horseback? But still unsure about how’s the whole process or have some specific questions? Read on, and get ready to book your next hassle-free riding holiday with Freerein!

How do I book a riding holiday with Freerein?
Once you’ve found your perfect trail via our website:
1. Check Availability: Scroll down on the trail page to see available dates and prices—click on your preferred date.
2. Secure Your Spot: Book and pay a 20% non-refundable deposit on our website to reserve your saddle!
3. Confirmation: Our friendly team will be in touch to confirm your booking and guide you through the next steps.

What happens after I pay my deposit?
After your deposit is received and your spot is secured, you’ll receive:
– A booking confirmation email with your booking form (this is where we capture your details, dietary and horse requests).
– An invoice for your final payment will follow, this is due 56 days before you ride.
You will receive your final confirmation and information like packing lists, contact details, links to our onsite equestrian shop and handy trail tips to ensure a smooth riding adventure a few weeks before your riding holiday.

Essential Information:

Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, absolutely. Any holiday you book should have comprehensive travel insurance, including cover for equestrian activities and medical emergencies. We strongly recommend purchasing this at the time of booking.

What about if I need to travel by plane or train?
We recommend Bristol, Birmingham or any London airport. Most riders then catch a train to Hereford Station (our closest one) and then travel to the local area by bus or taxi and stay the night before their trail.

Where is the best place to stay the night before my trail?

What if I need to cancel or change my booking?
Our cancellation policy is detailed in our Booking Conditions, we always recommend reading these carefully. Once your trail is confirmed, we will not be able to change or modify your dates.

Do you supply hats and body protectors?
Body protectors are a personal choice, and we are unable to supply hats due to health & safety. However, we do have onsite shop where our team are professionally trained to fit you the perfect riding hat!
