That’s why, at Freerein, we make it possible for our trail riders to buy the horse they’ve fallen in love with.

After more than 30 years building and refining our herd, we know our horses inside out—and so will you. By the time you reach the end of your trail, you’ll have ridden your horse for at least two full days, seen them in traffic, open countryside, walk, trot, canter, catching, tacking up, and how they interact with the herd. In short: you’ll know exactly who you’re buying.

Buying your Freerein horse is easy. Just follow these 3 simple steps:

1. Book a holiday with us – Choose any of our guided or self-guided trail riding holidays.

2. We’ll match you with a horse – Based on your height, weight, and experience, we’ll pair you with a suitable partner.

3. Love your horse? You can buy them! – If you’ve connected with your horse on trail, you may have the opportunity to take them home.

We only sell horses to our trail customers and only once they’ve ridden that specific horse on trail. That way, you’re not just buying any horse—you’re buying your horse.
