So what do Freerein do?

Make all of the on trail arrangements

Freerein arrange your whole trail, book your accommodation, move your luggage and provide all the organisation needed to relax and enjoy your riding holiday. You can carry anything you need during the day in the saddlebags provided.

Offer bespoke or set dates

On each individual guided trail page you will see we have set dates available for you to join a group. Alternatively you can have your own guide just for your own group starting and finishing on any dates during our season.

Provide professional guides & small group sizes

Your guide is a professional adult who has undergone a large amount of training in routes, horses and customer service. Guiding at Freerein is a paid, full time profession. Our guides have lots of experience introducing people to hills and horses. They love what they do.

All of our guided rides have a maximum group size of 8 riders.

Is this horse riding holiday suitable for me?

Riding ability

You need to be happy and confident cantering to do a guided ride with us. If you are not at this stage then we recommend our learn to horse ride holidays.

Riding holiday age limits

Our riding holidays are aimed at adults; they are friendly and sociable holidays staying overnight at inns. Young adults are most welcome if accompanied; the minimum age for guided riding holidays is 14 years old.

Fitness

You need to be reasonably fit, be able to mount and dismount unaided and have a sense of adventure!

Individuals & single rooms

Individual riders are most welcome on guided rides and single rooms are available. It’s a great way to meet other people with a similar interest; many of our self guided riding groups met on a guided trail.
