Road Riding Basics

Most of us will ride on the road at some point.

When road work is your only option to reach your off-road route, follow these simple, but helpful tips below to stay safe.

Be alert at all times
Remember to use the appropriate hand signals to make other road users aware of your intentions
Be polite – thank those drivers, cyclists, people at work and even those pedestrians that make any effort to accommodate you
Wear hi-vis and/or reflective equipment
Make sure you’re up to date on the Highway Code!
